Weather Cities Project

1.  Find the 3 cities assigned to you (your calculator number is on the front of your Interactive Notebook).  From the 3 assigned, choose 2 cities to compare.

2. Create a page on your weebly called “City Weather.”  You will post your priliminary data and analysis on your weebly page. (Think of this like your research notes and rough drafts.)  Be sure to cite your sources.  You can use Son Of Citation Machine to help you with bibliography format.

3.  Research the weather of those cities.  Be sure to include the average monthly temperature, precipitation, and snowfall in your research.

4.  Compare and contrast the weather of those 3 cities.  Consider these weather cities questions to help you think about the differences between your cities.

5.  Explain why these differences occur.  Look for factors that are the same and different.

6. Post your final answer to the question “Why does weather change from place to place?” on your class period’s blog. (Think of this post as the final draft of an essay.)  Your bibliography will go in that same post at the end of your essay.  You can use this weather cities project essay outline.
